The short version

We collect the minimum needed to run a webinar registration: your name and email. We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with advertisers. We use it to send you the webinar details and to make sure you’re a real person.

1. Who we are

Trap N Shift (“we”, “us”) operates trapnshift.com. For any privacy question, write to hello@trapnshift.com.

2. What we collect

When you register for a webinar, we collect:

  • Your name and email address (you give these to us).
  • A timestamped record of when you submitted and verified your email.
  • Your IP address and browser user-agent string — used only to prevent abuse, rate-limit submissions, and protect the form from bots.

We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. We don’t track you across other sites.

Some pages (for example, /register) embed YouTube videos. Until you click play, nothing loads from YouTube and no cookies are set. If you click to play, the YouTube player loads and YouTube may set its own cookies as part of delivering the video. That activity is governed by YouTube’s privacy policy, not ours.

3. How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Send you the verification code and confirmation email.
  • Send you the date, time, and join link for the webinar you registered for, and any directly related follow-up about that specific event.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and bot registrations.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We will not add you to a marketing newsletter without separate, explicit consent.

4. Who processes the data on our behalf

We use a small number of standard service providers to run the registration system. They process data on our instructions and nothing more:

  • Supabase — stores the registration database.
  • SendGrid (Twilio) — delivers the verification and confirmation emails.
  • Upstash — rate-limits form submissions to prevent abuse.
  • Vercel — hosts the website.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and security program.

5. How long we keep it

Registration data is kept while it’s relevant to the event you signed up for and for a reasonable period after, so we can investigate abuse and run repeat events with consistent enforcement (for example, our no-show blacklist). You can ask us to delete your data at any time — see the next section.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, EU/UK under GDPR or California under CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct it if it’s wrong.
  • Delete it (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Export a copy in a machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent or object to certain uses.

To exercise any of these, email hello@trapnshift.com from the address you registered with. We respond within 30 days.

7. Children

The Services are not for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has registered, email us and we’ll delete the record.

8. Security

We use HTTPS in transit, restrict database access to server-side code, and hash one-time verification codes before storing them. That said, no system is unbreakable — if a breach affects you, we’ll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. By using the Services, you consent to that processing.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site or sent to your registered email.
